The Rivalry Continues... Buster H Game #2

As long as you have not been living under a rock the past 2 weeks
you are well aware that the Foul Balls were coming back for week 2 of the
summer league to play against their long time rivals Buster H.
As you have heard recently the Foul Balls got locked out of the Thursday league they
have played in since thier inaugural season due to a large desire for the Thursday time slot.
Appears they were not the only ones who were denied entrance into the league.
Buster H had the same issue and decided to follow THE BALLS to the Tuesday division.
So it would set the stage for the rematch that was to big for Thursday nights.
Both teams heading into the game with a record of 1-0 only 1 team would come out undefeated.
Coming off a nice victory in week 1 THE BALLS were flying high (some of the literally)
and looking to bring the pain against Buster H.

The balls were 11 in total with the absence of Scojo due to a shoulder injury.
Turns out that he played last week with the injury, and seems to have aggrevated it
(Must have been the AWESOME display of hitting he put on in game 1)
As you recall from last week there was doubt surrounding Skip and if he was able to play.
He woke up Wednesday morning and was not even able to lift his arm above his waist.
There was talk around the Foul Balls camp that there was a possibility he would be
shut down for the season. After a trip to the team DR. Skip was advised he has shoulder problems
and that it could be a serious issue.
After giving it a few days and making sure that he took it easy Skip was looking better everyday.
When Tuesday came Skip was feeling like a new man (must be the meds from the DR)
and was ready to get dressed up for the game to complete the 11 man roster.

The BALLS won the coin toss and decided to take the field first, so they were the home team.
With Sebass on the mound the balls took the field with confidence,
a little swagger in their steps, and a lot of alcohol on their breath
The BALLS played great defense on Buster H and had a quick first inning with no runs allowed.
Heading into the bottom of the 1st The Balls were still feeling good from their last offensive game.
Starting things off agan in the Leadoff slot was Sheetser with a stand up double
Than singles by Skip, Clue, Bo and Spinx
After a pair of outs Brian 'Miller' Mueller would drive in the 5th run of the inning with a Double.
After 3 outs the BALLS were looking good, putting up 5 runs against Buster H
and heading into the 2nd inning with a nice little lead.
The BALLS continued to look good in the field
Spinx made a great pop up catch at 3B and Socal caught one in foul
territory right in front of the enemies dugout.
Clue looked outstanding at SS with some serious diving attempts on some plays

Their defense continued to look strong during the early innings.
However, after the 1st inning THE BALLS just couldnt seem to get the bat on the ball
Not able to put up any more runs on the board they would stay at 5 runs the remainder of the game
Buster H started turning it on and driving the ball to the outfield
Dropping in between the Outfielders and the Infielders

"I have been looking for the right mixture, but no amount of Pyrate Rum
seems to be able to put these guys away"  - Sebass

THE BALLS unable to adjust to the onslaught gave up run after run over the 5 innings
proving that work needs to be done.
THE Balls ended up letting the game slip away with a
FINAL SCORE of Buster H (19) - FOUL BALLS  (5)
Bringing THE BALLS record to 1-1 on the season thus far.

"Game 1 + Sober = WIN
Game 2 + Faded = Loss
Game 3 = Somewhere in between"  - Skip

Come on down to Field 4 Tuesday night to see
THE BALLS take on BIG DAWGS @ 615pm
As the continue the quest for Lower D REc Domination !
